JAMB Cut-Off Marks for 2017/18 Admission Is Not Out

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB Cut-off marks that will be used for the 2017/2018 academic session admission exercise. The admission cut-off point for degree programmes[Universities], Polytechnics, National certificate in education, National Diploma and National innovation diplomas.
We have been receiving calls and messages from 2017/2018 JAMB UTME applicants regarding the official cut-off mark of various universities, polytechnics and colleges of education in Nigeria.
JAMB Cut-off Marks for 2017/2018 for Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges and other institutions in Nigeria are important to admission seekers. Candidates who sat for UTME and have chosen schools would like to know their chance of getting admission. It is essential that you know the cut-off mark of the school you have chosen before attempting the exam. This will let you know if you need to do extra studying.
The 2017 JAMB UTME Cut-off marks should be known by candidates who took part in the 2017 UTME. This post will talk about the JAMB cut-off marks set by JAMB for all Universities, Polytechnic and other institutions. JAMB announces this every year which the schools use as benchmark for admission.

JAMB CUT-OFF MARKS FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSION

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it has yet to release cut-off marks for placements into tertiary institutions for 2017 academic year, contrary to reports.
The Head, Media and Information, JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos on Tuesday.
We want to appeal to all candidates to jettison such speculations and engage themselves in more meaningful ventures that would add value to their future,’’ he said.
Benjamin added, “We want to appeal to Nigerians to understand that such candidates whose results are being previewed may not necessarily have participated in any malpractice.
“But rather, centres where they took the examination had issues during the conduct of examination.

“These issues were reflected on the CCTV footage and this suggests why they must be carefully investigated before releasing such results,” he said.
According to him, a very disturbing and unfortunate case is that of a school in Abia where cables were seen to have been connected secretly to a distant hall for hired mercenaries to take the examination for candidates.
“This is very unfortunate given the fact that the school is a missionary school and supposed to be a leading light against such vices.
“But, rather, it was conniving, supporting and indeed championing the evil menace of examination malpractice,’’ Benjamin said in the statement.
He said such results would be treated in accordance with the provision of the law.
